SIA Security Licensing

SIA Security Licensing McKenzie Security Ltd provides high quality SIA approved training for door supervisors and contract security officers. The company has a reputation for providing highly effective and enjoyable training courses, having trained over 4,000 candidates in the last three years. Around 60% of our candidates come to us through recommendation from previously successful delegates.

Training is delivered by City and Guilds qualified and Skills for Security approved trainers. The company is a registered NOCN (National Open College Network) centre for delivery of the following training.

The most popular course is the Level 2 Award in Door Supervision. This qualification allows you to apply to the SIA for the licence required to work in the industry. The Door Supervisor licence allows you to work in places where alcohol is on sale, (hotels, pubs, nightclubs etc.) In addition this licence also covers you for all Static and Patrol security work e.g. corporate buildings, shops, offices, construction areas, patrolling etc.

Level Two award in Door Supervision

Part 1 – Covers training and assessment on the Roles and responsibilities of door supervisors including Law, Arrest Procedures, Health & Safety, Drugs awareness, Search Procedures, Emergencies and Report Writing.

Part 2 - Scenario based training and assessment on Conflict Management and Communication Skills teaching you how to deal effectively with difficult or potentially dangerous situations.

News: From June 2010 it will be mandatory for New Door Supervisor Qualifications to include Physical Intervention and Restraint. Existing Door Supervisors will be required to take the Physical Intervention course on renewing their Door Supervisor Licence.
